Project report: art meets digital signage – netvico installs information and guidance display systems at the MUSEUM RITTER
Installing a number of 32-inch displays at the MUSEUM RITTER in Waldenbuch, netvico has shown how impressive the symbiosis of art, public architecture and digital media can be. Since mid-May, the screens have been helping art fans find their way around the museum and providing information about current exhibitions. In order to tie in with the consistent geometric archi- tecture of the new museum, which was designed by Max Dudler, netvico installed the displays discreetly on the inside of the sliding glass door at the side entrance to the museum foyer. Embedded in a passe-partout frame, the digital media guide visitors to the main entrance and provide information on current exhibitions. The color and layout of the content was tailored to the MUSEUM RITTER. The user-friendly »PlayEverywhere« software technology guarantees that the customer can modify and update the content quickly and flexibly. The MUSEUM RITTER was built to house the extensive art collection of Marli Hoppe-Ritter, co-owner of RITTER SPORT, and opened in September 2005.
