Caritas to provide information with virtual »porters«

From now on, netvico digital media will be welcoming visitors and residents and giving directions in three Stuttgart-based senior residential homes run by the charity organization Caritasverband für Stuttgart e.V. At the heart of this innovative service is an electronic resident directory designed and developed by netvico. To complete the picture, information screens will display current events and announce birthdays.

The uncomplicated and interactive user interface of netvico’s touch-screen pillars will enable visitors to locate individuals from among a great many residents easily and intuitively. By finding this information themselves, visitors will ease the burden on staff in that they no longer have to ask for directions. Besides serving as a resident directory, the information screens will also display current events being held at the homes. An additional display screen will also be used to advertise the current restaurant menu at the three homes.

Thanks to templates designed by netvico, the charity organization will be able to change and update the content shown on the information screens easily and flexibly. The system will be managed centrally by Caritas’ own IT department using its existing infrastructure.
With Caritas as its new partner, netvico can further on put the many possibilities of its digital signage solutions to the test in the nursing care sector.
