netvico accents the BAMBI awards

A city totally smitten by the BAMBI awards: the celebration of the most important German media award at the end of November glistened the glamour of the golden doe on Düsseldorf – also thanks to netvico’s technology. The 12 x 12 square metres big curveLED curtain which was installed by netvico and partners Majert and tennagels on the Peek & Cloppenburg department store created in Düsseldorf’s city centre a glamorous atmosphere. As Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf was announced as the exclusive fashion partner of this year’s BAMBI awards they have accomodated in terms of content all presentation and advertising media to the event. Netvico again had the opportunity to prove its performance, flexibility and the easy handling of its management software. Since all mulitmedia presentations of Peek & Cloppenburg are managed centrally by netvico’s software »PlayEverywhere2.0«. Apart from the media like the digital guidance systems and the plasma displays this year’s challenge was to manage a totally new product: the curveLED curtain which we have designed together with our partners tennagels Medientechnik GmbH and Majert GmbH & Co. KG.

Just because of its scale the free floating curveLED is a real eye catcher. With 144 square metres total area it covers on three floors the curved shop-window front of the department store and harmonises perfectly with the architecture of the building, which is designed by Richard Meier. The principle of transparency on which Meier’s architectural concept is based is also evident in the curveLED curtain: The whole installation is see-through without quality losses in terms of the presentation of contents because the individual LED strings, of which the curtain is made, have a vertical pixel distance of 40 millimetres and a horizontal distance of 80 millimetres. Thus transparency and brilliance curveLED curtain are combined in a totally new product.
